Edelman Fossil Park & Museum's School Field Trip Fund for Public Schools

Field trips can inspire awe and enrich children's lives by taking them out of familiar surroundings and into new spaces. By connecting classroom learning with real-life experiences, students learn how they can make a difference in their own community. 

Currently, more than 210 schools in New Jersey receive Title I funding, but their resources and time for teaching STEM subjects are limited. Even with EFM's discounts for schools and convenient location, teachers have shared that the number one barrier to field trips is funding for admission and transportation. 

Supporting this initiative is an investment in making the museum accessible to more students. The funds raised through this project will directly support two Title I schools, allowing 50 students from each school to take a field trip to Edelman Fossil Park & Museum.
