Rowan Engineers Restoring Hope: Renovation of a Kensington Community Sanctuary

Ministerio Jesus Liberacion is a church in the heart of the Kensington community that serves its neighbors with compassion. Though this area is known for rampant drug abuse, Rowan Engineers Without Borders (EWB) visited and saw hope beyond the poverty. 

The church provides meals, clothing, and a safe place to rest. Yet it needs urgent repairs to sustain its mission, including ceiling repair, new carpet, repainting, and more. 

The current estimated expenses are approximately $3,000 to repair the ceiling, install carpet, and repaint the walls. However, Rowan EWB recently learned of an additional urgent need: repairing the church kitchen, where meals are prepared each week for the Kensington community.

Rowan EWB humbly seeks support to restore this sanctuary and strengthen its local impact.
