White Coat Note FAQs
Who can send a note?
Anyone! Family members, friends, mentors, alums, faculty, and community supporters are all welcome to participate.
Don't know any incoming students?
You can still show your support by sending an undesignated note! Your note will be given to a student who might not otherwise receive a White Coat Note.
Is a donation required?
Yes, with a gift of $100 (or more), you can send a personalized note to a student.
What does my gift support?
Your gift directly supports the SOM White Coat Scholarship, helping first-year medical students start their journey with the support they need.
How do I send my note?
It's easy! Click the link, make your $100 donation, and type your message in the space provided. Each donation includes one personalized note.
What should I write?
Write a message from the heart. Share your pride, encouragement, advice, or a meaningful memory.
How long can my note be?
Notes may be up to 600 characters long, including spaces. Messages exceeding this limit will not be included in the final note.
Can I include emojis?
To ensure readability, we kindly ask you to avoid using emojis and special characters in your notes.
What is the deadline?
Please submit your gift and message by Friday, July 25, to ensure your student receives it at the White Coat Ceremony.
