"At the Edelman Fossil Park & Museum, we’re all about dinosaurs, fossils, and discovering the past to protect the future. Through my work with our live animals in Critter Cove, I educate our guests about animals and their habitats, wildlife conservation, and the importance of respecting our natural world. I care for everything from sea stars and giant millipedes to rats and a monitor lizard. I am so fortunate to play a part in inspiring future generations of scientists (and veterinarians!) to follow their dreams."
ABOUT DR. CALLAN
Dr. Callan is a veterinarian who is passionate about animal welfare, wildlife conservation, and science education. When she’s not caring for the animals at Edelman Fossil Park & Museum, you can find her captaining and playing on ultimate frisbee teams in the region, playing Dungeons & Dragons with her friends, or spending time with her favorite 17-year-old kitty, Garry. She is a proud Rowan alumna, graduate of the veterinary school at Tufts University, and also serves on the board of trustees at Woodford Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge in Medford, NJ.
